Ah man, they piss me off so damn much. Yesterday my gamecube analog stick started messing up and the cursor on the brawl select screen started moving on it's own, but I sort of managed to fix it. Then today I faced kwan earlier, and it was kirby vs kirby. He uses red kirby, and I used white kirby..and it started messing up like around the end of the match, by the time we finished the analog was completely out of tune so now the cursor is completely messed up.
Kwan I' look forward to our rematch of teh kirby's, puyo.
As for gamecube controllers, wow they're so fucking cheap it's unbelievable. I swear to god this is like my 6th one. So I'm not sure if I'll be brawling as much until I pick one off ebay since thw wiimote sucks ass.
What do ya'll think of gamecube controllers? They're good for brawl, but damn do they break easily.

Yeah, that's how most gamecube controllers mess up. I looked online and there were a whole bunch of people with the same problem with the analog stick. It messes up after a while.

Yeah, that's how most gamecube controllers mess up. I looked online and there were a whole bunch of people with the same problem with the analog stick. It messes up after a while. But are you sure it's stuck that way permanently? If the analog stick is being held in any direction at the time you turn on the Wii/GameCube, it will be stuck after you let go of it. You can fix this by unplugging and plugging it back in, or holding down X, Y, and start for 3 seconds (or, if you have a wireless controller, simply turn it off and on again). Just make sure you're letting the analog stick be in the center at the time you turn on the console.

the reason y it moved by its own, is because the control stick was tilted when u booted up brawl, makin the system think thts the neutral position. alot of games tell u tht b4 u play it (especially n64 games) i dont mind the gamecube controller. but i prefer the classic controller. they are near exactly the same, just rearranged slightly and r different sizes. i would only use the gamecube controller when im usin hacks to put in specific button codes. i have 2 gamecube controllers tht have auto fire too

I've tried that already and it doesn't work. See the thing with gc controllers is the joystick becomes sensitive after a while of using it. When you buy one they they're stiff, and won't move if nudged lightly...but after using then if you touch them lightly they start becoming loose, in my case. The joystick was slightly pointing to the left side...that's why the cursor started moving on it's own, you can't play right when it's always doing that. Even if I tried positioning the joystick to the middle it just go back to the right side. It's kinda hard to explain man, but trust me..this thing doesn't work no more. The same thing has happened to me with 2 other controllers.

The same thing has happened to me with 2 other controllers. Okay, then that's different. In fact, I think mine is doing that, too (although probably not as much as yours). So anyway, to answer your original post, I personally like GameCube controllers and use one for Brawl. Here's what I wrote in a similar thread at the Nightmare Clan forum: "I have sort of a sentimental attachment to my old WaveBird controller. I bought it for $20 many years ago and it's kind of falling apart now. Still, we've been through a lot together, including much ass-kicking in Brawl." Yeah, it's true. I've had this one for a very long time and it's still working. I think I have the sensitive-analog-stick problem to a certain extent, too, but it's easier to deal with on a WaveBird because you can just turn it off and on again after making a slight adjustment to the control stick. Sometimes I even do this during a brawl if I need to.

Wiimote and Nunchuk works alright but yeah GC controllers are the best but since I gotta put my wii in a high place to pick up my neighbors connection I got me a classic controller and it's 0.K.
